Lipoedema is a chronic condition that is still poorly understood. It is characterised by an abnormal accumulation of subcutaneous fat in the legs and sometimes the arms.
This condition mainly affects women (11%* of the population). Although its causes are not yet fully understood, hormones and heredity are thought to play a role in its development.
Difficult to diagnose, lipoedema is often confused with obesity, primary lymphoedema of the lower limbs, or cellulite. It generally causes feelings of heaviness, pain, bruising, and significant aesthetic or even functional discomfort, impacting daily quality of life.

Medical endermologie® treatments help limit the progression of lipoedema while improving patient comfort.
Thanks to the variety of tissue mobilisations (Infinite Waves™) and the 30 Hz vibration delivered by the Infinity 80 IW™ treatment head, these treatments help to:
■ Reduce pain and discomfort
■ Soften subcutaneous tissue, which is often fibrous
■ Reshape the figure
■ Boost blood and lymphatic flow to reduce swelling
■ Improve mobility
This multidimensional, non-invasive, and non-aggressive cellular stimulation acts holistically by treating the main symptoms of lipoedema. At the same time, by activating the autonomic nervous system (balancing the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems), it provides a general sense of well-being over sessions.
In severe cases where liposuction is indicated, endermologie® medical treatments can also be performed before and after surgery to optimise results and healing, limit the risk of bruising and other complications, and maintain results over the long term.
