Beyond the anxiety and apprehension it causes, surgery often marks the beginning of a long and demanding recovery process for patients.
In this context, physiotherapists play an essential role. They are involved not only after the operation, to support functional recovery, but also beforehand, to prepare the patient physiologically and psychologically for the procedure.
Today, a growing number of surgeries are performed on an outpatient basis, and more and more practitioners are recommending structured preoperative preparation, particularly as part of rapid recovery after surgery (RRAS) programmes. These approaches aim to reduce complications, speed up recovery and improve the overall patient experience.
In line with this trend, LPG Systems has developed pre- and post-operative tissue and musculoskeletal care protocols, in close collaboration with surgeons, hospital rehabilitation teams and private physiotherapists.

WITH THE HUBER 360® EVOLUTION DEVICE
An innovative, fun and effective rehabilitation solution to gently, confidently and safely get the body moving again.
Pre-operative
■ Reduce tension and pain
■ Preserve and improve joint mobility
■ Optimise muscle tone and preparation
Post-operative
■ Gradually restore muscle strength
■ Reprogram stability and postural control
■ Accelerate the return to functional independence
Better preoperative physical condition reduces the risk of functional maladjustment, improves tolerance to postoperative exertion and allows for a faster recovery of mobility after surgery. In short, a faster return to an active life.
STEP 1:
THE PATIENT CONSULTS THEIR SURGEON
The physiotherapist optimises their tissue and muscle expertise. The aim is to facilitate the surgical procedure, optimise the success of the operation and the patient's recovery.
STEP 2:
THE PATIENT COMPLETES THEIR PREPARATION SESSIONS FOR SURGERY
At a physiotherapist's practice near their home. Depending on the patient's condition, the physiotherapist will adapt specific endermologie® and HUBER® treatments to ensure the patient is as well prepared as possible for the operation. The progress noted in the patient's file will be used by the medical team.
STEP 3:
THE PATIENT GOES INTO THE OPERATION REASSURED AND PREPARED
The surgical procedure is optimised. The patient receives the best immediate post-operative rehabilitation care according to the surgeon's instructions.
STEP 4:
THE PATIENT RETURNS TO THEIR PHYSIOTHERAPIST FOR THE FINAL STAGE OF THEIR REHABILITATION
To ensure a full recovery, the patient continues their rehabilitation programme. Thanks to effective and tailored care, they quickly regain their independence and are soon back on their feet. Thanks to this expert care, they have given themselves the best chance of returning to normal life as quickly as possible.
