SCARS & BURNS

After surgery, a burn, or any other kind of trauma, the skin heals by producing collagen where the wound is.

If nothing is done, this natural process can create an actual barrier within the skin that interferes with cellular exchanges. Beyond its unaesthetic appearance, the scar can then create functional problems: for example, limiting range of motion, causing pain, or interfering with how certain organs work.

Our solution with

CELLU M6 ALLIANCE® MEDICAL

The endermologie® technique’s draining and defibrosing effects are ideal for painlessly treating scars and the consequences of burns at an early stage. First, it helps to eliminate waste so as to effectively drain the tissue and prevents the formation of scar adhesions related to fibrosis. Next, this treatment stimulates natural collagen and elastin production, which improves the healing process by easing pain and restoring mobility.

Thanks to endermologie® medical sessions, all kinds of scars can be worked on to prevent the need for additional surgery:

- Recent scars with signs of inflammation
- Older scars
- Surgical or traumatic scars
- Burns, including grafted areas
- Post-caesarean scars
- Scleroderma scars

Mira, lumpectomy surgery

After a previous lumpectomy, Mira was left with a very painful, adherent scar. Stiffness in the shoulder area of her operated breast is still very much present today. Endermologie® medical helps to decongest the tissues and release tension, giving the patient lasting relief.

Geneviève, herniated disc operation

Geneviève, who had surgery for a herniated disc a few years ago, is now experiencing scarring adhesions that are restricting her range of motion and causing pain. By stimulating the tissues, endermologie® medical improves micro-circulation and facilitates healing for a rapid analgesic effect and improved mobility.

Sylvie, leg transplant

Following a trauma, 37-year-old Sylvie underwent a skin graft on her left leg, causing adhesions and oedema in her ankle. As the sessions progressed, her leg looked better, circulation improved and she was more mobile and experienced less pain.

After having a skin graft on my left ankle, I ended up with adhesions that limited my movement and caused swelling. Aesthetically, the contours of the graft were also quite visible. As the medical endermologie sessions progressed, the graft started blending in with the rest of my leg, and now it is a lot less visible and looks better. Since some of the scar tissue softened, my leg regained some volume, making it easier to move around and feel more comfortable. The swelling has disappeared, my circulation has improved and I feel less pain.

Karima, 37 years old

One example is that of a patient we had after he was in a car accident. The burns extended to his abdomen, back and both arms. He had to undergo numerous grafts and had axillary bands, which significantly limited joint mobility in both shoulders. We immediately began physical rehabilitation using the endermotherapy® technique. I was able to work on the bands’ tension points and help him quickly regain mobility in his shoulders. We were also able to treat the areas where grafts had been taken and thus help them heal much faster. We had very positive results.
